PHOENIX, AZ — Local martial artist Natalie Wood delivered an inspiring performance at the ATA World Championships, competing in Creative Weapons, Xtreme Forms, Xtreme Weapons, and Traditional Weapons. After ranking in the top ten globally among girls her age, Natalie earned the honor of representing her division at the world level—an accomplishment that reflects her years of dedication, discipline, and drive.
While she didn’t medal, Natalie ranked at the top of her group and impressed audiences and judges alike with her dynamic forms, precise techniques, and commanding stage presence. Her Creative and Xtreme routines stood out among the world’s elite competitors.
What truly sets Natalie apart, however, is her heart. Leading up to the competition, she selflessly spent time helping lower belt students prepare—offering guidance, encouragement, and mentorship to those experiencing their first major tournament. Her leadership and kindness have made a lasting impression on the next generation of martial artists.
After the competition, Natalie continued to embody the core values of the martial arts. She was among the first to congratulate the new world champion she had just competed against, showing a level of sportsmanship and humility beyond her years.
“Natalie’s skill is matched only by her compassion and integrity,” said her coach. “She’s not just a fierce competitor—she’s a role model.”
Natalie Wood’s journey is far from over. Her performance on the world stage and her commitment to lifting others along the way prove that she’s a champion in every sense of the word.
